The Golden Globes red carpet 2014 was overflowing with star power in Beverly Hills on Sunday night, and the annual "E! Live from the Red Carpet" special helped us keep track of who was wearing what. Zooey Deschanel looked vintage glam in a love-it-or-hate-it Oscar de la Renta dress that featured full tulle skirts and a boxy, beaded top with a scoop neck. Her hair looked polished and super smooth, pinned up in a sassy side bun with a white rose tucked behind her ear. Nashville star Hayden Panettiere looked beautiful in a black and white color-blocked design by Tom Ford; the halter-style bodice and slit up the left leg flattered the svelte starlet's figure. Naomi Watts chose a slinky silver Tom Ford dress that featured sexy side cutouts. Jennifer Lawrence looked beautiful in a strapless white Dior creation that had black bands cinching her skirts for a half-glam, half-punk rock look.



Nominee Lupita Nyong'o was without a doubt the best dressed on the Golden Globes red carpet this year. American Hustle star Amy Adams looked 70s chic in a color-blocked Valentino halter dress in two tones of red with her hair in a braided bun. Simply perfection! Taylor Swift swooped in and nearly stole the show in a cherry red Carolina Herrera gown that featured a black sweetheart neckline. Her hair was pinned up, allowing just a few perfect, golden curls to frame her face. Lena Dunham tried really hard this time, but the glam look just isn't working for her. Somehow, that becomes more and more painfully clear the harder she tries. The big, bright yellow mermaid gown didn't flatter a single one of the Girls star's curves. The simple diamond necklace she wore was the only highlight of Dunham's look, and the sparkle mercifully helped distract from what was going on below the neck.
